Shopping tip for the holiday season:
There are simple, effective ways to save money this holiday season using smartphone apps. Try these three apps I use and recommend:
- Scan your grocery receipts with Fetch Rewards. Fetch Rewards is a cashback and gift card app that rewards you for purchases you’ve already made. Submit receipts from any grocery store to earn points, which you can redeem for gift cards and other rewards. Sign up for Fetch Rewards here.
- Shop through Rakuten to get cash back at online retailers. Rakuten gives you cashback when you start your online shopping session through their site or app. They partner with many popular stores, and you shop as usual; a percentage of your purchase returns to you as cash back. If you sign up via the provided link and make a qualifying purchase, you may receive a sign-up bonus. Sign up for Rakuten here.
- Get cash back on gas, groceries, and restaurants with Upside. Upside (GetUpside) is a mobile app that lists nearby places where you can earn cash back. After creating a free account, use the app to find participating gas stations, grocery stores, and restaurants. Earnings can include cash back per gallon at gas stations and percentage rewards on grocery and restaurant purchases. Learn more about GetUpside here.
I use all three of these apps and recommend them for straightforward ways to save money during the holidays and beyond.
Enjoy!
