Spending, Lifestyle, and Income Updates You Need to Know

Hello everyone! The weekend flew by, but I treated myself to a half day today, so I have something to look forward to. I had a fun weekend—went to several bars and hung out with friends. On Saturday we drove around and went shooting because my boyfriend got a new gun.

Today I’m seeing a dermatologist about a persistent skin issue. I developed several bad spots on my back after our trip to Hawaii and the irritation seems to be spreading. I’m getting a second opinion and hope this finally helps. Fingers crossed it starts clearing up soon!

Later I’ll go Halloween costume shopping and meet friends for dinner. I’m still undecided about a costume and reluctant to spend $75 on something I’ll likely wear only once. What are you dressing up as this year?

My updates:

Spending: We spent quite a bit again over the weekend, mainly on dining out and drinks with friends. That’s an area we need to tighten up, but we had a good time, so I’m not too upset about it.

My boyfriend traded straight across for his new gun at Cabela’s, so we didn’t lose money on the transaction.

Extra Monthly Income (in addition to my job salary): It was another solid week. I earned roughly $950 from side hustles last week. Some weeks are slower, but I also received payments last week for past work, which helped keep the total strong. I only count income once it’s actually in hand, just to be cautious.

Food: We’re improving but still not perfect. I’ll be dining out tonight with friends, but otherwise our plan is to cook dinner at home Tuesday through Friday this week.

Being healthy: On the scales I’m doing fine—I currently weigh about 120 pounds—but I could be better in other areas. My diet has improved significantly, yet I still need to run more and work on getting more toned.
